The focus areas include SME growth, innovation, productivity improvement, job creation, renewable energy, circular economy, digital services, agriculture and agribusiness, youth employment, gender equality, climate action, partnerships for development, and inclusive economic growth.
The LiYEPA programme provides performance-based grants of up to USD $8,000 to high-potential Liberian SMEs. It is designed to accelerate business development while linking funding to measurable milestones and verified results.
The programme supports the Government of Liberia’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development and contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals, including poverty reduction, gender equality, decent work, economic growth, industry innovation, infrastructure development, climate action, and global partnerships.
It targets SMEs operating in priority sectors such as renewable energy, circular economy, digital services, and agriculture and agribusiness. The initiative encourages enterprises to improve productivity and expand their contribution to job creation.
Applicants must be Liberian-owned SMEs operating in Liberia and must have been active for at least six months before applying. They must also demonstrate a minimum revenue of USD $1,000 over the past six months with verifiable documentation.
Priority is given to women-led enterprises, youth-led enterprises, climate-smart businesses, and those with strong job creation potential. Applicants must also commit to programme monitoring and milestone verification.
