Deadline Date: June 30, 2026
The Africa Health-Tech Accelerator is a six-month pan-African program designed to support early-stage health technology startups in transforming innovative ideas into scalable and investment-ready ventures.
The program focuses on digital healthcare solutions, telemedicine and virtual care, digital health platforms, electronic health records, hospital management systems, data and intelligent technologies, health data and analytics, artificial intelligence in healthcare, remote patient monitoring, medical and pharmaceutical innovation, medical devices and diagnostics, drug development technologies, pharmaceutical supply chain solutions, access and prevention services, health insurance and health financing technologies, and preventive health and wellness technologies.
The accelerator is structured as a six-month online program that includes one in-person event and offers an equity-free or funded participation model. It is designed with a pan-African focus to strengthen health-tech ecosystems across the continent by bridging the gap between innovation and commercialization.
The program supports early-stage founders by providing structured training, one-on-one mentorship, seed funding, investor access, networking opportunities, pitching exposure at a final demo day, and continental visibility. These resources are intended to help startups build market-ready solutions and scale effectively within Africa’s healthcare sector.
Eligible applicants include health-tech startups and SMEs that are in the early stages of development, launching new products, or operating tech-enabled health solutions. Startups must have at least two founders, possess a minimum viable product, and be actively launching or validating a health-related product or service. Participants must also demonstrate commitment to attending at least 80 percent of program sessions and have the intent to scale their solutions across Africa.
