The Vienna Business Agency is inviting applications from developers, studios, startups, companies, private individuals and associations for innovative digital projects under development, offering production support and special awards for creative digital initiatives in Vienna.
The competition supports projects in games and playful media, augmented, extended and virtual reality, animation, visual effects and 360° video, digital design for health, interactive storytelling formats, web and mobile applications including blockchain and Web3, platforms for digital content publishing and digital distribution, serial online content, digital applications for wearable IT, machine learning and artificial intelligence, and quantum computing, including the visualization of quantum phenomena.
Five selected projects will each receive production support of €10,000. An additional special prize of €10,000 will be awarded to a project in the healthcare sector under the theme “Digital Design for Health.” Award-winning projects led by women will receive an additional bonus of €1,000. Furthermore, up to five projects may be selected for the special prize that supports participation in South by Southwest 2027.
To be eligible, applicants must have a residence, company headquarters, or business address in Vienna. The submitted project must be predominantly developed or implemented in Vienna, or Vienna must represent a significant point of reference for the project in terms of content or design.
