The Artificial Intelligence Technologies Grant Program provides support to the development and testing of advanced defense technologies designed for recognition, targeting, battlefield analysis, GPS-free navigation and automated decision-making in Ukraine.
The program focuses on technologies for recognition, targeting, battlefield analysis, GPS-free navigation, and automated decision-making. Applicants can receive funding of up to 8,000,000 hryvnias for the creation of finished development products and their testing in combat conditions. The developed products must be transferred to a unit of the security and defense forces designated by the Fund. The annual funding limit per developer is 30 million hryvnias, and only one application may be submitted for each development.
Grant funds may be used for salaries and gig contracts of up to 120,000 UAH per person per month, including SSC, PIT, and military service payments, with these costs not exceeding 70% of the total budget. Materials and equipment together may account for up to 50% of the budget, while services, including banking, customs, transport, and logistics, may make up to 70% of the budget. Audit expenses are permitted up to 5% of the budget.
The grant cannot be used for business trips, marketing activities, rental of land, vehicles, buildings, or premises, repair of premises, or the purchase of vehicles, furniture, mobile phones, household appliances, fuel, and lubricants. They also cannot use the funding to purchase weapons except for models or prototypes, or to cover expenses already financed through other programs.
Ukrainian companies and individual entrepreneurs registered according to the established procedure are eligible to apply for the grant. State or municipal enterprises, as well as public or charitable organizations, are not eligible to participate.
