The gBETA accelerator and IU Health Incubator Pre-Accelerator program support early-stage companies through mentorship, coaching, and investor readiness training to help them grow and commercialize innovative technologies.
The focus areas, of this program include supporting early-stage startups, accelerating company growth, improving investor readiness, enabling commercialization of breakthrough technologies, and strengthening business development in biosciences, human health, and biotechnology. It also focuses on coaching and mentorship, fundraising readiness, sales development, openness to feedback, and active participation in accelerator activities.
The gBETA program runs multiple times each year across cities in the United States and selects up to five companies per cohort from a competitive applicant pool. Participants receive structured support designed to help them refine their business models, prepare for investment, and strengthen their overall growth strategy.
Selected companies benefit from individualized coaching and mentorship provided by the accelerator team, along with weekly learning sessions, mentor engagement activities, and investor pitching opportunities. Participants also gain access to vendor perks and deals valued at over one million dollars, along with continued support after the program ends.
The IU Health Incubator Pre-Accelerator is part of the gBETA accelerator and is designed for early-stage companies focused on commercializing breakthrough technologies in biosciences, human health, and biotechnology. The program includes both in-person and virtual components hosted in Indianapolis.
Participants are expected to commit significant time to the program, typically five to seven hours per week, and should be able to engage actively in at least 85 percent of program activities. The program also requires openness to feedback, readiness for fundraising and sales activities, and a coachable mindset in a fast-paced environment.
Companies must be prepared to openly discuss their business with mentors and investors, demonstrate readiness to scale sales, and actively participate in growth-focused discussions and activities.
