Apply for Energy Resilience Innovation Programme (Sweden)

The focus areas, of this call include establishing and operating cross-sector innovation clusters, strengthening the resilience and resistance of energy systems, and supporting collaboration between energy users, research institutions, and technology actors. It also focuses on addressing disruptions caused by technical failures, extreme weather events, climate change, natural disasters, and antagonistic threats, while promoting research and innovation in the energy sector.

This call aims to create conditions for collaboration among different sectors to identify energy-related needs and develop relevant and innovative solutions. Through innovation clusters, participating organisations can work together to improve the stability and adaptability of energy systems in the face of growing challenges.

Strengthening the robustness of the energy system is considered a major national and international priority. The initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to support research and innovation activities that contribute to a more secure and resilient energy infrastructure.

Approximately SEK 15 million is available under this call to support project partners involved in forming and operating innovation clusters. The funding includes support for the establishment of these collaborative networks and their operational activities.

The opportunity is open to a wide range of organisations, including businesses, public sector entities, trade associations, academic institutions, research institutes, foundations connected to the relevant fields, and other suitable actors. The coordinating organisation for the innovation cluster must be a Swedish legal entity with its registered office in Sweden and must be responsible for leading and coordinating the cluster activities.
