The DIGIT Project Technology Scouting Program invites proposals to support collaboration between SMEs and research institutions in Croatia.
The focus areas, of the programme include strengthening collaboration between innovative small and medium-sized enterprises and the research community, identifying and defining technological needs of SMEs, connecting businesses with academic experts through technology scouts, promoting knowledge transfer between the private sector and academia, fostering research and innovation, and enhancing the competitiveness of companies.
The programme is designed to bridge the gap between industry and academia by enabling structured interaction through technology scouting support. It encourages SMEs to clearly define their technological requirements and engage with research expertise to develop innovative solutions that improve business performance and competitiveness.
The total grant funding available under this call is €2,000,000. The minimum grant amount is €30,000, while the maximum grant amount is €70,000 per project. The maximum project duration is 12 months, with all project activities and payments required to be completed by 31 October 2028.
Eligible applicants are micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises registered and operating in Croatia, in accordance with the EU SME definition. Applicants must not fall under exclusion criteria at the time of application and must submit proposals independently without partners. Applications must be prepared with the support of a certified Technology Scout, and beneficiaries must maintain a registered establishment in Croatia at the time of payment.
