Deadline Date: August 05, 2026
Applicants are now invited applications to support culture-driven projects in Slovakia that promote artistic creation, cultural exchange, freedom of expression, and social inclusion.
The programme focuses on artistic creation, cultural exchange, cultural mobility, freedom of expression, safe spaces for dialogue, youth engagement, social inclusion, resilience to disinformation, creative placemaking, participatory planning, heritage protection and management, environmental responsibility, cultural diversity, audience development, support for women and young people, vulnerable and marginalised communities including Roma, media and information literacy, critical engagement, networked cooperation among cultural operators, long-term resilience of the cultural sector, and collaboration with Ukrainian artists.
The programme aims to increase participation, sustainability, and diversity in arts, culture, and heritage through projects that combine artistic quality with social impact. Supported activities are expected to encourage cultural engagement while strengthening local communities and promoting inclusive access to culture.
Projects should work with local residents, cultural operators, and other stakeholders to protect, interpret, and manage heritage in ways that reflect local needs and values. The programme also promotes artistic mobility and international cultural exchange to broaden participation in cultural life.
Priority will be given to independent cultural operators functioning as inclusive cultural and community hubs. Projects implemented through partnerships between two or more independent cultural operators will receive particular consideration if they meet the required quality standards.
Additional attention will be given to projects supporting vulnerable or marginalised communities, including Roma communities, as well as initiatives addressing challenges arising from the invasion of Ukraine and encouraging collaboration with Ukrainian artists in Slovakia.
The total funding available under the call is EUR 9,732,941, with grant amounts ranging from EUR 200,000 to EUR 700,000.
Eligible applicants include public or private entities, commercial or non-commercial organisations, and non-governmental organisations established as legal persons in Slovakia and operating within the cultural and creative sectors. Applicants must partner with at least one eligible entity from the Donor States.
