The APIS Design Spark Challenge is requesting applications to support the development of future-ready digital infrastructure solutions for innovation, entrepreneurship, and learning ecosystems in Andhra Pradesh.
The challenge focuses on design thinking, human-centric innovation, stakeholder engagement, rapid prototyping, digital infrastructure for innovation ecosystems, collaboration, entrepreneurial learning, startup and mentor engagement, ecosystem design, GovTech, EdTech, AI, digital platforms, strengthening innovation ecosystems, improving access to opportunities, and building future-ready public innovation infrastructure.
The Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS), in collaboration with Ratan Tata Innovation Hub and the School of Design Thinking, is organizing the Design Spark Challenge 2026 to address ecosystem-level challenges in innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital public infrastructure.
The programme is designed as an immersive innovation marathon where participants engage in stakeholder interactions, friction discovery, co-creation workshops, rapid prototyping, and strategic evaluations. Teams are encouraged to explore systemic inefficiencies and conceptualize scalable and inclusive digital solutions.
The challenge is open to DPIIT-recognized startups with expertise in scalable digital infrastructure and interest in GovTech, EdTech, AI, digital platforms, and ecosystem design. Teams must consist of a minimum of three members and a maximum of five members.
Only 15 startups will be shortlisted to participate in the challenge.
