The WEAVE X program by IIMK LIVE is a sector-focused incubation initiative designed to support early-stage startups in transforming the textile industry through innovation, sustainability, and advanced technologies.
The program focuses on accelerating textile innovation startups working in sustainable materials, smart manufacturing, supply chain optimization, and water-efficient systems while enabling commercialization, market access, and scalable business growth.
WEAVE X is structured to address critical challenges in the textile ecosystem through innovation in textile waste management, AI-based quality inspection, water optimization, sustainable fabrics, supply chain transparency, smart wearables, MSME automation, energy efficiency, textile recycling marketplaces, eco-friendly dyes, anti-counterfeiting and traceability, and e-commerce fit solutions.
The initiative is led by IIMK LIVE in collaboration with government and industry partners, and it aims to strengthen India’s textile startup ecosystem by enabling startups to refine their solutions, access mentorship, connect with investors, and scale their ventures effectively. The program also provides structured incubation support, technical guidance, business model development, and networking opportunities to improve market readiness and commercialization potential.
The program is open to startups, early-stage founders, individuals, and teams working in the textile and apparel sector. Applicants can apply even with early ideas or prototypes, and preference is given to ventures demonstrating innovation, scalability, and early traction. Selected startups may receive funding support of up to ₹50 lakhs along with access to mentorship and ecosystem networks.
The selection process evaluates innovation, team strength, scalability, and early traction, ensuring that selected participants have strong potential for real-world impact and sustainable growth in the textile sector.
