The TUBİTAK is offering to develop innovative digital and green solutions that support sustainable transformation and crisis impact reporting.
The program focuses on developing R&D-driven solutions that contribute to green transformation, rapid commercialization of outputs, reducing electricity and water consumption per production unit, minimizing waste, decreasing non-recyclable waste, and advancing innovative green technologies, with thematic areas including climate change, environment and biodiversity, clean and circular economy, clean, accessible and secure energy supply, green and sustainable agriculture, and sustainable smart transportation.
This call encourages organizations to design and implement projects that translate research outputs into market-ready products within a defined timeframe. The initiative emphasizes efficiency in resource use and waste reduction while fostering innovation that addresses pressing environmental and sustainability challenges. Projects are expected to deliver tangible outcomes that align with green transformation goals and contribute to sustainable industrial and technological development.
Funding is structured based on the scale of the enterprise, with micro and small-scale SMEs eligible for up to $500,000, medium-sized enterprises eligible for up to $800,000, and large-scale organizations eligible for up to $1,500,000. All supported projects must be completed within a maximum duration of 24 months, and this timeline cannot be exceeded even with extensions.
Eligible applicants include capital companies established in Turkey, provided they operate outside the World Bank’s restricted sectors. Organizations involved in defense-related activities or producing outputs linked to the defense industry are not eligible. All supported projects must comply with national environmental legislation as well as the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework standards and Environmental Health and Safety Guidelines. Project proposals will undergo assessment for environmental and social risks by expert consultants.
Each applying organization must include at least one project staff member with a relevant bachelor’s degree at the time of application, and individuals with degrees in other fields must demonstrate relevant experience. Proposals that do not meet application requirements or fail to complete revisions within the specified timeframe will be rejected without entering the peer review process.
