Deadline Date: May 04, 2026
The Startup Germany Challenge offers an opportunity for emerging ventures to showcase breakthrough technologies, scale globally, and connect with key stakeholders across innovation ecosystems.
The challenge focuses on Industry & Manufacturing, Health & Life Sciences, Energy & Sustainability, and Digital Platforms & AI, encouraging solutions built on technologies such as AI, data analytics, automation, climate tech, and health tech with clear real-world applications.
This initiative targets startups that are building transformative and scalable technologies with global relevance. Selected participants gain a platform to present their solutions to an international audience at VivaTech, helping accelerate growth and foster connections with corporates, investors, and innovation partners.
The program emphasizes readiness for real-world deployment, expecting startups to have a functional MVP or a market-ready product, along with scalable architecture, strong data capabilities, and a clear technological roadmap. Their solutions should be API-ready, cloud-compatible, and easily integrable into existing systems, ensuring readiness for pilot projects and strategic collaborations.
The rewards offered through this challenge focus on visibility and ecosystem access. Winners will pitch on stage at the German Pavilion at VivaTech and receive opportunities for one-on-one meetings with corporates, investors, and experienced founders.
They will also receive two four-day startup passes granting full access to VivaTech, along with tickets to Startup Germany Night, an exclusive networking event. Beyond the event, selected startups may gain access to mentoring and innovation ecosystems such as Startup Factories and the de:hub Initiative, subject to consultation. Eligibility criteria require that participating startups must have been incorporated less than eight years ago and have fewer than 100 employees.
