Deadline Date: April 24, 2026
The Pacific Innovation Forum for Climate and Environment 2026 is seeking applications to support low-carbon development and environmental stewardship across Pacific Island Countries.
The Forum will prioritize innovative and practical solutions implemented in Pacific Island Countries, with strong relevance to local contexts and needs, emphasizing Pacific‑led solutions, private sector–driven initiatives, and community‑led approaches. PIFCE 2026 encourages private sector actors — including local businesses, social enterprises, innovators, start‑ups, investors, utilities, and industry leaders — to participate not only as contributors, but as co‑creators and implementers of solutions, highlighting market‑driven innovations, sustainable business models, public–private partnerships, and investment‑ready ideas that support resilience, low‑carbon development, and inclusive sustainable economic growth across Pacific Island Countries. Equally, PIFCE 2026 values community‑led initiatives, recognizing communities as essential champions of innovation, adaptation, and environmental stewardship, and invites participation from community organizations, women‑ and youth‑led initiatives, cooperatives, and civil society actors that are developing locally grounded, culturally responsive, and inclusive solutions.
Thematic areas include Resilient and Low Carbon Pacific Communities and Economic Development, focusing on protecting lives, livelihoods, and enabling a just and inclusive transition; Restoring and Conserving Pacific Island Ecosystems, which champions the protection and restoration of terrestrial and marine ecosystems through innovative approaches, sustainable livelihoods, local enterprises, and circular economy solutions; and Turning Loss and Damage into Action, which emphasizes building collective understanding and advancing community-centered action, policy, finance, and Pacific leadership.
PIFCE 2026 provides an opportunity for governments, entrepreneurs, development partners, non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, businesses, educational, and academic institutions to showcase innovative solutions addressing climate change and environmental degradation. The Forum emphasizes collaboration, encouraging participants to share knowledge, co-develop solutions, and scale initiatives that strengthen community resilience, low-carbon development, and sustainable economic growth. By integrating local knowledge and experience, the Forum aims to demonstrate how inclusive and culturally responsive approaches can deliver tangible and lasting impact across the Pacific region.
