Get Ready 4 Timbuktoo EdTech is a pan-African online incubation program designed to strengthen entrepreneurial maturity, growth, and access to financing for African EdTech companies, offered by the UNDP as part of the Timbuktoo initiative and implemented with Pitch Palabre.
The program focuses on strengthening entrepreneurial maturity, growth, and access to financing for African EdTech companies through a comprehensive maturity assessment, expert educational content, high-level mentoring, financial support, and networking with data-driven management.
This program will support 50 EdTech startups that have at least a working prototype, offering an intensive, 100% online program for investment-ready startups. The program’s structure relies on five strategic pillars. The maturity assessment provides a comprehensive evaluation of product, market, impact, and traction to tailor a personalized journey. Expert educational content is delivered through modules dedicated to growth, financing, marketing, data, and learning sciences. High-level mentoring is offered through weekly sessions with experienced entrepreneurs and experts in AI, product, pedagogy, and impact assessment. Financial support includes prototyping and user testing grants, subject to validation of key deliverables. Networking and data-driven management ensures real-time performance tracking and privileged access to Timbuktoo’s future hubs and investment opportunities.
To be eligible, applicants must be based in Africa, have a prototype or testable product available, and be responding to a clear educational challenge such as access, inclusion, quality, employability, or teaching methods. Applicants must also commit to dedicating 6 to 8 hours per week for the duration of the program. Applications close on 18 February 2026.
