The VFund is an Accelerator Program and Seed Funding initiative designed to support and empower women entrepreneurs.
The focus areas of the program include strengthening early-stage, women-led startups by providing financial assistance, structured incubation, and capacity-building support.
Participants in VFund 2026 receive a seed fund of ₹2,00,000 for the winner, along with incubation support at Vels Innovation Council (VIC). The program is structured to nurture innovative business ideas and build the entrepreneurial capacity of women founders through targeted guidance and resources.
To be eligible, applicants must be women entrepreneurs with at least one woman co-founder, and the maximum age limit is 45 years. The startup must be a registered entity in Tamil Nadu and should have a minimum of 51% women ownership or a woman serving as Founder or CEO. The program is open to VELS students, alumni, faculty, and members of the general public who have innovative and viable business ideas.
VFund 2026 provides women entrepreneurs with both financial and strategic support to transform their ideas into successful ventures, enabling them to access mentorship, incubation, and the resources necessary for sustainable growth.
