The Green Business Incentive Scheme is inviting grant applications to support small to medium enterprises in the City of PAE to invest in initiatives that reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability.
The Green Business Incentive Scheme is designed to encourage local businesses to adopt sustainable practices while contributing to broader environmental outcomes across the city.
The scheme supports investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable transport technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions; on-site plantings and water-efficient irrigation systems that reduce urban heat and increase tree canopy; waste management and circular economy initiatives; and other innovative proposals that align with the aims of the scheme.
Eligible small to medium enterprises can apply for up to $10,000 in funding per financial year through a single application. Funding can include financial contributions as well as in-kind contributions, such as project management time provided by SME staff.
The scheme is open to for-profit small to medium enterprises operating within the City of PAE. Applicants must be legal entities with an active Australian Business Number and have 200 or fewer full-time equivalent employees.
Applicants are also required to ensure that any necessary approvals from property owners have been granted where relevant, and that any required development approvals have been secured prior to implementation.
