Deadline Date: 21-April-2026
The European Commission is seeking grant applications to develop advanced manufacturing technologies and machinery that enhance Europe’s industrial competitiveness, increase resource efficiency and circularity, and support the production of key and high-performance products.
The focus areas include making advanced manufacturing technology and machinery available in Europe for the production of key and high-performance products, increasing circularity through the use of secondary raw materials, incorporating innovative advanced materials to improve performance and quality, significantly improving resource efficiency in terms of materials and energy, and enhancing circularity, productivity, competitiveness, and the resilience of European industry.
The funding for this Horizon Innovation Action is EUR 38,000,000, with single-stage submission and indicative grant amounts ranging from EUR 6,000,000 to 8,000,000. Any legal entity, including those from non-associated third countries or international organisations, is eligible to participate, provided all conditions of the Horizon Europe Regulation and the specific call/topic are met.
Proposals should address technologies and machinery for advanced manufacturing that focus on manufacturing excellence and circularity, including better use of innovative advanced materials and secondary raw materials. The focus is on key manufactured components and products that are competitive, have enhanced performance, contribute to Europe’s technological leadership, and are at risk of being lost to Europe or rely on raw materials or parts mostly sourced from outside Europe.
Examples of relevant advanced manufacturing technologies and machinery include innovative additive manufacturing, hybrid manufacturing combining additive and subtractive methods, photonics, advanced joining technologies, polymer composite manufacturing, advanced surface treatment and structuring technologies, manufacturing components with lightweight materials, and in-line testing. Proposals should also include a business case and an exploitation strategy.
Any legal entity—irrespective of its place of establishment—may participate, including organisations from non-associated third countries and international organisations (such as international European research organisations), whether or not they are eligible for funding, provided that all requirements set out in the Horizon Europe Regulation are fulfilled, together with any additional conditions specified in the relevant call or topic.
