Deadline Date: April 15, 2026
The Market and Audience Development Grant by the National Arts Council supports activities that strengthen audience reach, patron engagement, and market presence for artistic work in Singapore and internationally.
The grant focuses on marketing and audience development initiatives such as market research including audience surveys, branding, marketing and publicity for arts groups or specific projects or productions, and the development and production of resource materials or collateral for sponsor or audience engagement, as well as international activities including collaborations with international counterparts as part of market development, international touring, participation in international festivals, trade fairs and biennales, and international visit programmes for media and arts personalities.
This grant is designed to complement artistic creation by enabling artists, arts practitioners, and arts organisations to better understand their audiences and strategically grow their supporter base. It recognises that meaningful engagement goes beyond promotion and places importance on building long-term relationships with audiences and patrons that contribute to a deeper appreciation of the arts.
The scheme is open to eligible individuals, organisations, and collectives involved in the arts, including intermediaries whose work directly benefits Singapore artists by connecting them to new audiences and markets. Supported projects may take place locally or overseas, provided they contribute to market development and increased access to Singapore arts.
Funding support varies according to applicant type and project scope, with emphasis placed on the quality, viability, and potential impact of the proposed activities. Applications are assessed based on their ability to expand awareness, reach new or wider audiences, and demonstrate clear planning and capacity for execution.
