Deadline Date: January 30, 2026
The Social Impact Hub is seeking grant applications to support social enterprises and purpose-driven businesses in scaling solutions that strengthen climate resilience and inclusion.
The focus areas and themes of Catalysing Impact include advancing climate resilience, promoting inclusion, supporting social enterprises, catalytic grant funding, tailored capability-building support, innovation and scalability, investment readiness, financial resilience, impact measurement, fundraising and investor engagement, governance, risk and operations, and building sustainable capital stacks.
Catalysing Impact is designed for enterprises operating a social enterprise that plan to raise capital between March and August 2026 and are engaging, or ready to engage, with investors and debt funders. While charities may apply, participating enterprises must be seeking investment or repayable debt rather than philanthropic donations.
Catalysing Impact combines catalytic grant funding with tailored capability-building support to help enterprises strengthen their strategy, financial resilience, and investment readiness. The program is designed to unlock additional investment rather than simply matching funds, enabling enterprises to build larger and more sustainable capital structures.
The initiative seeks enterprises with a vision for a resilient and inclusive future that are addressing climate or inclusion challenges, such as community preparedness, emissions reduction, financial inclusion, and equitable access to services. It is intended for organisations with innovative, scalable solutions and a clear pathway for growth, whether at an early stage or already established.
The program offers access to catalytic funding, including grants typically ranging from AU$150,000 to AU$400,000 linked to external commitments secured by the enterprise, as well as AU$10,000 participation grants to support involvement in the program. These grants are structured to help unlock further investment and finance.
Catalysing Impact follows a structured two-stage journey. Stage 1 focuses on capability and connections through participation grants, diagnostics, advisory support, peer learning, cohort-based sessions, guidance on funding strategy, and letters of support to assist with securing investment. Stage 2 provides opportunities for catalytic funding and participation in a live employee crowdfunding pitch event for enterprises demonstrating strong progress and fundraising traction.
The program is open to Australian-incorporated social enterprises at any stage that are working on climate resilience and/or inclusion, demonstrate readiness for growth, and are seeking investment or repayable finance.
Participants also receive tailored advisory and investment readiness support through Social Impact Hub’s Professional Impact Network. This includes an investment readiness diagnostic and bespoke mentoring across strategy, business models, financial modelling, impact measurement, fundraising, investor engagement, and governance.
