Deadline Date: February 03, 2026
The Growth Stream program is currently accepting grant applications to support technology start-ups in Nova Scotia that are ready to accelerate growth, scale revenue, and capture market share.
The program particularly encourages companies leveraging AI-driven technologies or advanced software solutions, providing them with resources to move quickly from proof of concept to market expansion.
This program provides an ideal opportunity for Nova Scotia tech start-ups to gain funding, mentorship, and strategic support to accelerate growth and scale their innovative solutions to global markets.
Selected start-ups can receive $30,000 in non-dilutive, non-repayable funding, disbursed on an expense claim basis. Up to $15,000 of this funding can be allocated to founder salaries, giving entrepreneurs the flexibility to invest in both operational needs and personal support while growing their business.
To be eligible, applicants must be registered businesses in Nova Scotia, in good standing, with a permanent address in the province. Most of the workforce and senior leadership must also reside in Nova Scotia. Founders must hold a majority ownership stake of 51% or more and commit to working at least 35 hours per week on the company for the duration of the program.
Applicants should have cumulative sales of less than $1 million and less than $250,000 in equity investment raised. Their product must be at least at the proof-of-concept or MVP stage and have validated potential customers. Additionally, applicants must have identified and quantified a significant global market opportunity. Companies that have previously participated in Invest Nova Scotia Accelerate are not eligible.
