Deadline Date: February 01, 2026
Entries are now open for AI NATION grant applications to strengthen early-stage AI teams by providing the funding, expertise, and environment needed to validate ideas and build scalable prototypes before entering the market.
Aimed at teams that have not yet secured external investment, the program provides the financial runway, expertise, and collaborative environment needed to move confidently toward company formation or early commercialization.
Selected teams can receive financial support of up to €54,000 per team, including up to €36,000 in founder scholarships and an additional €16,000 for mission-critical material resources. This equity-free funding allows founders to focus on building and validating their prototypes without the immediate pressure of raising capital, ensuring that innovation and product development remain the top priority.
Beyond funding, the program offers direct access to AI and entrepreneurship expertise. Participants work closely with experienced AI professionals and business mentors who provide guidance on technical development, business model refinement, and go-to-market strategies. This hands-on support helps teams navigate challenges and strengthen their solutions for real-world application.
Teams also become part of the AI NATION ecosystem, gaining valuable exposure to a network of innovators, partners, and potential investors. Access to cutting-edge facilities and shared resources fosters collaboration, learning, and long-term connections within the AI community. A dedicated workspace further enhances this experience, offering an environment designed for focus, creativity, and knowledge exchange.
The AI NATION GRANT is open to teams that have identified a relevant problem, validated it with potential customers, and developed a strong solution concept where AI is the core enabling technology. Eligible projects must demonstrate a defensible AI approach, a clearly defined target market, and alignment with at least one United Nations Sustainable Development Goal. Teams must consist of at least two committed founders with AI expertise, and all founders must be eligible to work in Germany. Through this comprehensive support, the AI NATION GRANT helps early-stage AI teams transform ideas into impactful, market-ready solutions.
