Deadline Date: April 15, 2026
The Local Amenities Funding Program supports small businesses and founders in Vienna who want to strengthen neighborhood supply by introducing new products, services, and digital solutions for everyday needs.
The program focuses on local supply, new products and services, digital measures to improve efficiency, investments in construction measures and technical equipment, external consulting, marketing activities, employee training, personnel costs, and innovative ideas that enhance local neighborhoods. This funding opportunity is aimed at small businesses with fewer than 50 employees as well as founders based in Vienna who are active in local supply. Eligible industries include trade and craft businesses, retail, catering, and the book and media sectors.
The program supports new digital measures that help make internal processes more efficient. Eligible investments include construction measures, technical equipment and machinery, material and equipment costs, as well as licenses and concessions needed for implementation. In addition to investments, funding can be used for external consulting services, marketing measures, and training and qualification activities for employees carried out by external service providers. Personnel costs directly related to the project are also eligible for support.
The maximum funding amount per project is €75,000, with a funding rate of 50 percent. Projects must have a minimum total size of €20,000 to qualify for funding. An advance payment of up to 50 percent of the approved funding amount may be requested. Additional financial incentives include a women’s bonus of €5,000 if the project is demonstrably led by a qualified woman, and a start-up bonus of €5,000 for founding teams that establish a new company as part of the project. The maximum project duration is two years. Applications are evaluated by an independent jury that selects the strongest projects several times a year. The funding is granted under the de minimis regulation of European state aid law.
Applicants must submit a fully completed online funding application along with an application confirmation, a de minimis declaration, a final annual financial statement or income and expenditure statement, and a CV of the project manager.
