The U.S. Embassy in Bangladesh is inviting applications for a national-level pitch competition that will provide one outstanding tech startup an opportunity to represent the country at the SelectUSA Investment Summit in the United States, hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The focus of the opportunity is tech-focused startups that are founded in Bangladesh, developing an innovative technology product or service (a new technology, and/or delivering an existing technology to a market in new ways), looking to the United States for market-entry or growth within the next 2-3 years, and must also meet at least one of the following criteria: 0-10 years old (est. on/after Jan 1, 2016), 0-40 employees, $0-10M in annual revenue.
The national-level pitch competition is designed to identify exceptional tech entrepreneurs in Bangladesh and provide them a global platform through participation in the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2026. The winner of the competition will gain the chance to present their innovative ideas to global investors, industry leaders and influential technology stakeholders. The competition aims to support promising Bangladeshi startups to accelerate their international growth by connecting them to economic opportunities in the United States.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a workshop on January 27, 2026, in Dhaka to support and refine their presentations. Following this, the final pitch competition will be held before a judging panel on January 29, 2026. The selected winner will travel to the United States to participate in the SelectUSA Investment Summit scheduled for May 3-6, 2026, enabling direct access to networking, expert feedback and visibility in the global tech ecosystem.
This opportunity serves as a gateway for Bangladeshi tech innovators to gain international exposure, unlock investment prospects and showcase their technological expertise on a prestigious global platform.
