Deadline Date: January 19, 2026
The ESA BIC Latvia incubation programme offers a powerful opportunity for space‑technology startups and innovators in Latvia to turn bold ideas into viable businesses.
This initiative helps entrepreneurs working on space‑related technologies or services — whether they rely on satellite data, navigation systems, telecommunications, manufacturing, materials science or other space‑adjacent applications.
Startups accepted into ESA BIC Latvia receive substantial support, including grant funding of up to €80,000 for product, IP development or business setup, making it one of the most generous incubation offers among its European peers. Alongside the financial backing, participants benefit from up to two years of incubation support, which includes business coaching, technical guidance, legal and IPR advice, access to specialised satellite data and IT systems, and membership in a broad international network of space‑industry partners.
The programme is open to companies registered in Latvia, typically startups less than five years old. Applicants should present a viable business plan and demonstrate that their project involves space‑technology use or provision. With open calls held ongoingly and formal evaluation sessions twice a year, aspiring founders can submit proposals at any time.
Through this initiative, ESA BIC Latvia aims to foster the growth of a sustainable community of space‑technology companies, contributing to Latvia’s role in the European space economy. For entrepreneurs with a strong idea and ambition, this incubation programme represents a rare gateway — offering funding, expertise, and international connections that can turn innovative space‑related concepts into real — and globally competitive — ventures.
