Deadline Date: January 16, 2026
The City of Fremantle has launched the Small Business Grant Program to support local businesses that contribute to the city’s vibrant visitor economy.
This initiative targets retail, tourism, and hospitality businesses that offer products or services enhancing the experience of visitors, helping them book, purchase, or enjoy Fremantle’s unique attractions.
The grant provides funding of up to $2,000 per business, which can be used to create marketing content and run paid campaigns across existing digital marketing channels. The program is designed to support businesses most likely to be affected by disruptions to visitor activity, particularly those reliant on foot traffic and in-person trade.
The program aims to empower local businesses to actively and professionally promote themselves while ensuring Fremantle remains visible, appealing, and open for business, even during periods of disruption. By providing financial support, the initiative helps businesses maintain a strong presence and continue engaging with visitors effectively.
Eligible applicants include small businesses located within the City of Fremantle local government area. Small businesses are defined as those with 20 employees or fewer and an annual turnover of $10 million or less. Priority is given to independently owned and operated businesses. Applicants must demonstrate eligibility by providing proof of their business address, employee numbers, and annual turnover.
This initiative represents a valuable opportunity for Fremantle’s small businesses to enhance their visibility, reach more visitors, and strengthen their presence in the local tourism, retail, and hospitality sectors.
